Comrade Obama Runs To The Middle: Where's Ripley's Believe It Or Not?

Comrade Obama has left the primary season in the dust.  He is now running to the middle.  The day before yesterday, flag pin present, gave a speech on Patriotism.  Then followed that with a speech yesterday in which he proposed making faith-based initiatives a central part of his administration.  After attacking President Bush's faith-based programs as a "photo-op" Comrade Obama threw more money at evangelicals, to the tune of $500 Million.

His run to the center following the primary season is a normal progression for Dimocratic nominees.  Comrade Obama has no major legislation that Republicans can pin on him as liberal.  He merely has a voting record which is described as the most liberal in the Senate.  When Comrade Obama speaks in his eloquency about the need to cast aside "individual salvation for the collective salvation" makes awfully hard to take his just left of center rhetoric seriously.  When one digs below the surface Comrade Obama is still the same radical lefty he has always been (radical is Hugh Hewitt's term).

Comrade Obama and his advisors must believe they have an opportunity to peel off some conservative evangelical voters with his talk of patriotism and faith-based programs.  I hope that those who listen to Comrade Obama take what he says with a grain of salt.  He is merely attempting a political ploy, I don't believe he will actually follow through, as the loony left will pummel him for it.  Besides, I don't vote for faith-based programs, I vote for Life, the Sanctity of Marriage, Freedom of Speech and the march of Liberty.  Comrade Obama believes in the opposite, he is for Abortion, for Gay Marriage, for a government that will tell me what I can drive, what I can fill my car with, how high or low my thermostat will be, etc.  This doesn't even take into account his protectionist bent casting aside our Colombian brothers/sisters fighting off a petrotyrant.  Free Trade is not a religious position, but it is a matter of freedom and liberty...

One of the things that really concerns me is the crowd that Comrade Obama ran with prior to becoming the Dimocratic nominee.  His relationships with Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, Rev. Wright, Rev. Phlegar (sp?) and others is problematic.  It goes to the heart of the issue of character.  I believe we will learn more, much more about Comrade Obama's real estate deals in Chicago.  He needs to explain Rezko's purchase of his home.  He needs to explain his friends and acquaintances making money on the backs of the poor in Chicago tenements...Comrade Obama is not fit to be President of the United States!
